30Private jewellery classes and tuition at Silverpetal
Our private jewellery classes are ideal if you are short on time or want to focus on a specific area of study. You can book a day, tailored to a specific subject area, at a date and time to suit you.
Private tuition is a great way of learning silver jewellery making. With the benefit of all the tools and equipment to yourself, and of course – the tutor, you can learn a great deal more in the time available to you.
Beginner’s private one to one
If you are a complete novice then one of our beginner’s private jewellery classes is for you. This can be booked as a one day taster or two day experience to suit. Each day involves making two pieces of jewellery. If you want a longer and more in-depth study then discuss with us what your interests are. You may want to progress in to basic stone setting for instance. Then just book extra days. At Silverpetal we can be flexible and offer a beginner’s private one to one jewellery making experience to suit you.
Learn or progress in any jewellery subject 1:1
You don’t have to be a beginner to book one of our private jewellery classes. Any of our one day specialist workshops can be booked as a one to one class. So there is a vast range on offer; from precious metal clay, repousse, stone setting to fold forming, acid etching and soldering or sawing masterclasses. Check out our courses page to see the full range of subjects on offer. This is ideal if you cannot make the date that is scheduled during the academic program. You can book any of our subjects as a private lesson. This includes any of the group booking subjects like beading for instance.
What is included in the private jewellery classes?
The price per day includes all base metal materials. Any silver, beads or gem stones required for your day are payable as an extra. Here at Silverpetal we have a bespoke, custom built jeweller’s studio. You will have total use of all the workshop tools and equipment. Not forgetting the most important resource; your tutor for the day has more than 25 years jewellery making experience.
Refreshments; a selection of hot drinks and biscuits – are available and included in the price. We have ample free parking onsite so there is no additional cost incurred if you bring a vehicle.
How to book
Our private jewellery classes are £330 per day. These are booked as full days from 10am – 4pm usually at a weekend. However, days, dates and times can be tailored to suit your specific needs. Just e-mail to arrange a mutual time for you to attend. Then book your place by paying for the day or days above.
At lunch time
A full day workshop will have 45 minutes to an hour for lunch. And you are encouraged to go out for a proper break and some fresh air. There is a cafe in the building, a cafe by the canal across the road from the studio and a supermarket nearby.
Studio Shop
We have a shop at the studio where tools, materials, beads and consumables can be purchased. Please be aware that any metals or other materials you need to pay for on the day can only be paid cash or cheque at the studio. There is an online click and collect shop where you can view our range of tool kits. These can be pre-ordered for collection at your class.
