Ideal for those of you who are not experienced at silver jewellery making.

What is polymer clay?

Polymer clay is a wonderful material to use. Often called by its brand names of Fimo & Sculpey. It is a specialist modelling clay that is fired in a domestic oven. Our course is aimed at total beginners and will show you how to get started.

What will we do on the day?

We will go through the basics of using polymer clay including how to get the clay ready for use, mixing colours, texturing and more. You will learn how to make specialised surface patterns and how to form the clay. You will make several stones (or beads if you are not an experienced silver jewellery maker) during the course to take home.  The clay will be fired during the class in our oven. Information will be given about firing your clay at home during the course.

  7. sheila Banks

Something different. An easy way to make something that is colourful and different every time. You never quite know what you’re going to get. I’m definitely going to try this again as an alternative to using bought stones for stone setting.

  8. Caroline, Lincoln

Very productive day. Lots to take home. enjoyable and informative. Will definitely be carrying on at home.

  9. Susan Barber, Derby

Avery informative class, good fun and very interesting. Hands on and nice to go home with some nice things you have produced.

  10. Aileen Hodgson, Chesterfield

Attended this course at the weekend. Cannot recommend highly enough attending as it gives another dimension to jewellery making. It is impossible to be disappointed with the course, I usually work with precious or semi precious stones but you cannot always get the colour that you need for a project and if you can it can be impossibly expensive.
